The capitol was beautiful. We hadn't been inside since the big remodel and the work they have done is incredible. A nice old man even took us into a theatre room and turned on a short little movie about the renovation that took place. Amazing workmanship. And since both the State Senate and the House are not currently in session, we were able to go and see both chambers up close.
The capitol always reminds me of when I used to go with choir to sing Christmas carols in the rotunda. It was one of my most favorite performances each year, so it was nice to get to go back after so many years away and think back on all of those wonderful memories.
