Canning Memories

On a sunny Saturday morning they set to work canning 21 quarts of pears. Weston, along with Grandma Nettie and Great Grandma Katie, stood by the kitchen sink and peeled, cut, and slid the pears into the jars.

A three year old very rarely makes any job go faster - and that's why I'm so thankful that these sweet grandmas let my little three year old stand between them and get his hands messy... and squish all of their pears as they slid into the jars.

There is something very tender about watching your little one being taught by the same amazing women who taught you. I hope these are the memories that he will remember for the rest of his life - I know that I will.

It was a very good Saturday morning.
