Happy 4th Birthday Weston

A couple days after Weston's big friend party was his actual 4th birthday. As is tradition we filled his room with balloons so he'd wake up to them covering his floor. This year we also surprised him with his own LEGO table in his room along with a really good start to his LEGO collection.

He was thrilled.
And he instantly dove into building with his LEGO's.

We then got ready for church - he had picked out this birthday pin at Zurcher's the week before when we were there getting supplies for his party. He insisted on wearing it to church.
After church we had all the family come to our house for Weston's birthday dinner. Since he had already had his big friend party, this family dinner was much tamer than in years past. I used left over LEGO brick paper to cut out some '4'...
used the left over streamers and centerpieces to decorate the stairs...
And I reused the 'Happy Birthday' banner.

I asked Weston what he wanted for his birthday dinner - his response was pancakes and smoothies. VERY typical Weston response. So, in honor of the birthday boy, that's exactly what we had. My brother brought over some delicious pancake batter from IHOP (Weston's favorite place on earth!) and Tyler made smoothies for everyone. I also had some fresh fruit and a couple breakfast casseroles. It was certainly the easiest family party we've had to date. Weston was so excited to have, yet another, party just for him.

We are so blessed to have our families so close to us and be able to share these special days with them. Thank you all for coming and making Weston feels so special!
