Weston refused all spring to get a big boy bike. He insisted on riding his tricycle... even with his knees hitting the handlebars. Finally, one morning, Tyler woke up and said that today was the day - we were getting Weston a big boy bike. So we headed to Toys R Us and picked one out. Weston was pretty hesitant, but we told him that he had to get a new bike because Harrison needed the tricycle. That seemed to pacify him because he then excitedly picked out a bike and helmet.
Tyler helped him ride around the aisles in the store for a few minutes and that's all it took. We couldn't get him off of it to even pay. So we clipped the tags off the bike and let him ride the bike out of the store and to the car. He's now a bike riding machine.
