Countdown to Christmas: Day 1

To kick off the Christmas season we decided to head downtown to the Festival of Trees at the Boise Center on the Grove. The trees were stunning - as usual. Something about all those lights that just makes me giddy.

After we were done looking at the trees inside we headed outside to the tree lighting of the City of Boise Christmas tree. While waiting we each picked a few tags off the "Giving Tree" that listed items the local shelters are in need of.

It was the perfect way to kick off this holiday season - family, beautiful trees, Christmas music, and community. I can already tell this is going to be the best Christmas yet!!
