Wednesdays With Weston

What a fun week! Weston has been such the little busy body this week. He is always on the go-go-go (and is constantly telling us to go-go-go). He is full of new words and funny little quirks and he has been in such a happy mood this week. I think a lot of that is due to the wonderful antibiotics that has helped him get over his ear injections... he is not a happy camper when he has ear infections.

Here are some fun little tidbits about Weston this week:

He does this funny little run where he takes really close steps and runs on his tip toes. It's so stinkin cute!

Weston is no longer a fan of nursery. He did really well the first few weeks. We'd take him in there and he'd sit right down and play and wouldn't even look back for us. I'm not sure what the change was, but now he screams and cries and won't let go of us. But he has also started crying a lot more when we drop him off in the mornings on our way to work. I think this is a very typical stage for kids Weston's age, but it doesn't make it any easier for us.

If you hand Weston one snack he will stick out his other hand and say, "two". Little stinker... he knows just what makes mommy cave and give him another treat. =D

His "Toodles" obsession continues. Luckily while cleaning out Tyler's car he discovered the very first Mickey Mouse DVD that we had bought for Weston - so now we have another DVD to add to the mix so hopefully that will help spice things up a bit and help keep mommy and daddy a bit more sane.

This picture is a couple weeks old, but this is Weston every morning. He is still sleepy and so he just snuggles up on my shoulder and tucks his hands underneath him. It's so cute. I just love those few moments while he is waking up that I get to just love on him.
Remember when he used to not have any hair to stand up in the tub? He's such a big boy now.
He cracks himself up.
Playing and watching "Toodles" (aka Mickey Mouse).
This picture doesn't do his mess justice. There are toys completely piled up behind the ottoman, all on the floor by my feet and all over the dining room. He went to town! But he had the time of his life and I just kept hearing him laugh and laugh. I didn't catch all the rules of his game, but the gist of it was to pile up as many toys all together and then knock them all down. But he was very systematic on what toys went where and how they were piled... silly little kid.
Weston playing with one of his new toys from Christmas. We're working on matching shapes... he's really good and matching the shapes - but doesn't have the motor skills or patients to actually fit the pieces into the holes. We're working on it though and he's getting better each time we play.
We often find Weston right here in this little part of the kitchen. It used to be solely because he was rummaging around in the kitchen drawers, but now it's usually because he just rammed his little car into them. He's getting better about not going full speed into the cabinets, but this is usually his refueling station.
A picture daddy sent mommy one morning before he took you to Aunt Megan's house.  You love your chex!! Just as much as you love to feed yourself.
p.s. I love your bed head!!
Just kickin' back - relaxin'.
Reading books with Grandma Nettie.
Other than Chex, toast would be his second favorite breakfast food... especially when mommy is nice and lets him have messy jam.
"Uck" - it appears my aversion for messiness has been transferred to our first born as well. Weston doesn't like his hands to be messy - or anything to be messy really. He will pick up the tiniest crumb off the floor and chant, "uck, uck, uck" until one of us takes it from him or he makes it to the trash can or sink to throw it away. Makes me very self conscious about my cleaning job...
He sure is a fun and silly little guy. We just love him to pieces!

Thanks for being so much fun this week Weston. I love it when you bring me books for me to read to you - and how you back up and sit in my lap while I read to you. I admire your adventurous spirit and your curiosity in the world around you. You make your daddy and me so proud with all that you do.
Love you baby boy!
