The Easter bunny came to our house and left fun clues all over the house as to where the baskets were hidden. The first clue was outside Weston's room.
There was one in the fridge...
The downstairs bathroom, the upstairs tub, the office, the family room, and then finally the last clue lead us to the pantry.
Found them!!
After the baskets we made breakfast and hurried to get ready for church. Easter Sunday happened to be Weston's first time doing the scripture in Primary. We had been working on memorizing the scripture for a few weeks before and he did really well. He was so excited to use the microphone.
After church, and naps, Harrison finally dug into his Easter basket. Each boy received a Book of Mormon board book and a carrot made from goldfish crackers and a frosting pipping bag. Harrison's basket was full of yogurt melts and little baby veggie puffs. Weston's was filled with stickers, some coins, and of course, some candy.
It was a great Easter. The whole day I kept thinking back to the year before. Last Easter was a great one, but in a very different way. It was the first day home from the hospital after having Harrison. We were exhausted and a lot of the meaning of Easter was lost. But this year was the perfect mixture of the spiritual and the fun. Kids just make holidays that much better.
